Today I will be working on new levels. Level five has already been completed. Enemies and collectibles just need to be added. Making levels is a long process. As of now anyways. One I get back into the swing of things it should be easier to accomplish. I will post more devlogs on itch.io and on GameJolt so both parties know what's up. With that being said, I'll give you a brief understanding of how I make levels for the game.
My first step in making new levels are the design process. I usually whip out a pen and notebook and start sketching away. If I don't feel like doing that, I will open up MS paint and draw away.
The next step in implementing that into the game. This process alone usually takes up to 25 minutes to complete.
After that's said and done I will attempt to add intriguing details to the level.
Finally I come to a sense of completeness. This whole process for just creating the level structure usually takes around a day to perfect. Then I spend half of a day implementing enemies and collectibles.
